
Longborough Festival Opera: Wagner / Siegfried
A screening of Longborough's 2024 production, filmed live during the full cycle of Der Ring des Nibelungen.
The hero Siegfried reforges his father’s shattered sword, embarking on a quest for the greatest prize of all – the love of the valkyrie Brünnhilde, who lies trapped in a ring of fire.
Siegfried is the third instalment of Der Ring des Nibelungen, Wagner's epic tale of gods, giants and heroes, and their struggles for power. The 2024 Longborough Ring was conducted by Longborough's Music Director and "veteran Wagnerian" (Sunday Times) Anthony Negus and directed by Amy Lane.
